The GHTime service acts as a data protector. If you have some data you want to protect, fill in the form below and you will be provided with a GHTime data protection code which will serve as proof that the data is your own intellectual property. Click on the help button for instructions.

• To create a new GHTime code or to look one up just use the forms below. Simply fill in a title and description and press submit to perform a data protection request and generate a timestamped GHTime code.
• This code then provides proof that the information entered in the description was written before a specific time (in seconds).
• There is no limit to the number data protection requests you can perform but remember that once created the data protected related to each code cannot be edited. To retrieve the data protected by a particular code, simply enter the code in the lookup box.
• You can also password protect your codes or opt to store your protected data as a hash. If you opt to store your protected data as a hash, only the hash (not the data) will be stored in our database. When viewing your hash, a convenient form is displayed allowing you to confirm that the data you entered does indeed correspond to the hash genereated.
• The hashing system used is SHA-512 and is, to date, one of the most secure hashing systems available.
